Caroline Ellsworth Antiques and Interiors is based in Houston, Texas at Twenty Six Twenty, 2620 Joanel Street. As a direct importer , Caroline specializes in 18th, 19th, and 20th century Continental furniture, lighting, and decorative objects for the home. 
 
Caroline Ellsworth Rucker began her business in l980 when she moved with her family to Europe, living first in England, then France and finally Berlin, Germany.  During this period she began gathering beautiful objects discovered at the famous auction houses of London, Paris, Bath, Berlin, and in wonderful country house sales, estate sales, and also through personal connections with local dealers and friends.  Returning to the states in 1992, with several large containers of European treasures "in tow",  a dream was fulfilled as she opened shops  in Houston and Dallas. 
 
Currently, Caroline returns to her old European haunts three or four times a year to refresh and update her inventory.   "The joy really is in the hunt!"she says. And as she discovers new "secret" resources on each trip, Caroline adds more rare and unusually decorative antiques, plus a few one of a kind contemporary objects, some of which are fine European reproductions, some are handmade or bench made artist's designs, and some are mid century modern pieces.
